FOOTSTEP HOMES


The client was a new collaboration between several different property developers who were looking to market their new offering: homes built from the ground up using the very latest in environmentally-friendly technology, both in the building of and then the living in of these new dwellings.

I worked as the creative lead on this project. The brief was to come up with something from nothing: a new company. the client had no imagery or any way that they marketed themselves visually before this.

I came up with a solution – 'painting pictures with type' – that used the names of the technology they would build with, in a typographic style that would then represent a core value: the planet. I was also involved in the brainstorming for the supporting strapline ‘Intelligent homes that won’t cost the earth’.

In keeping with the client’s product offering, all printed articles were specified using water-based soluable inks on 100% recycled uncoated paper stock.

This project won a commendation for Best Art Direction at the 2007 Green Awards.
